Standard Tarantula Extruder and Flexible Filament ???????

Post by royg » Wed Sep 27, 2017 2:26 am

Just wondering if anyone knows .....

I'm using a genuine E3D v6 Hotend, which E3D advise will print flexible fiament OK.

That just leaves the Tarantua's Extruder. Can you print Flexible Filament (e.g. the eSUN Flexible Filament) using the standard Tarantula Extruder and Bowden Tube ?

Sometimes you can, It depends how flexible the filament is. Idealy you want a direct drive extruder without a bowden tube. Flexible filaments can bend and jam inside the bowden tube. I have a genuine E3D and a Titan Clone mounted directly on the E3D. I did have to print a new carriage to mount it on.

Maybe give it a go.
