Auto bed leveling sensor

Post by riisefrutti86 » Mon Dec 04, 2017 10:29 pm

I have an 8mm inductive sensor on my tarantula, but I´m considering buying a BLTouch sensor to upgrade.
Currently printing on glass, and have had some issues with the inductive sensor, as I have it connected directly to the z min contact.

If you dont find the upgrade neccesary, could someone give me some hints on the resistance needed on the signal when powering through the 12v.

Go with a genuine BLTouch from You'll get a much more reliable solution. The last time I manually levelled my printer was the day I installed my BLTouch six months ago. Auto-Leveling with BLTouch just works, day after day, and the required configuration is a standard component of Marlin in recent versions.

My recommendation is to avoid buying a clone/copy BLTouch from China. They have a reputation for being unreliable. The genuine BLTouch comes with a warranty and good technical support direct from the lady who designed the BLTouch, so she knows what she's talking about.

I hope that info helps.

Tevo Tornado (MKS Gen L version) - Genuine E3dV6 - BLTouch
Tevo Tarantula with a Laser Cutter/Engraver Add-on.
OctoPi (on an Odroid XU4)
Fusion 360, Cura, Slic3r, Ideamaker
