Flex extruder with normal filament

Post by fcolomb » Wed May 23, 2018 5:41 am

Hello guys,

sorry for the beginner question, but I am starting on the subject and have some doubts. Does the dual metal flex extruder, prints with normal filament as well? I am buying some upgrades and I need to choose between "Dual extruder normal" and/or "Dual metal flex extruder". Is the second a better version of the first or are we talking about different things?

What I mean is, I need for sure a dual extruder, I need to know if with this Dual metal flex extruder I will be able to print every kind of non flexible material, like in a normal dual extruder.

Thank you guys

My understanding is that the Flex Extruder will print both normal and flexible filaments - but will probably require tension adjustment when changing between different types of filament.
